Maxie Remy is a trilingual independent writer and director crafting fiction between Paris and Tokyo.
After earning a double degree in Computer Vision in Japan, she worked five years for Enhance Experience, a Japanese-American studio who creates innovative means of storytelling with immersive experiences.
With this experience, she realized her unconventional background influenced by Japanese subtle mise-en-scene offered unique storytelling perspectives. Returning to Paris, she began writing and directing films while pursuing a master’s degree in Screenwriting and Production at Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Lack of communication, gender, and languages are central themes in her creations. Trait pour trait is her first short film since returning to France.
